Classification of counterbalanced forklift trucks

There are two types of counterbalanced forklifts: internal combustion type and battery type. The power of the internal combustion engine forklift can be divided into three types: diesel, gasoline, and LPG forklift; according to the transmission mode, it can be divided into mechanical transmission, hydraulic transmission, and hydrostatic transmission. Hydrostatic transmission is the most ideal and most advanced transmission method for internal combustion forklifts. Its main features are soft start, stepless speed change, reversing speed, simple maintenance and high reliability. The efficiency of internal combustion forklifts with precise pressure actuation is significantly improved in outdoor short distance power frequency round trips. Battery forklifts are called electric forklifts. Usually it’s small and nimble, but it’s a small ton forklift and is mostly used for indoor operations. Battery cars are divided into three-wheel and four-wheel, front-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive. Both steering and driving are rear-wheel drive, called rear-wheel drive, which has the advantage of being low-cost and easier to move relative to front-wheel drive; disadvantage: when walking on bare ground and slopes, the force on the drive wheels is reduced when lifting , the drive wheel may slip. Most battery forklifts today use dual-motor front-wheel drive. Compared to four wheels, it has a smaller turning radius, is more flexible, and is best suited for operation inside a container. At present, some forklift manufacturers apply AC technology to electric counterbalance forklifts, which greatly improves the overall performance of the forklift and greatly reduces the later maintenance cost.
